Cooking Facilities:

Induction cooker is provided in the kitchenette and in the outdoor kitchen for your cooking needs. If you're not familiar with using an induction cooker, don't worry, it's actually quite easy. Gramya has provided its guests with an outdoor open flame kitchen for their convenience, where they can cook their meals themselves or choose to employ a cook. The outdoor kitchen uses wood as fuel for cooking, and we have provided a guide to help guests use it safely and efficiently. Utensils are provided.

An Indian outdoor kitchen that uses firewood can be a unique and exciting experience for those who have never used one before. Here are some basic steps to guide you through the process:

°        Gather dry firewood, kindling and newspaper to start the fire.

°        Place the firewood in the cooking area, leaving enough space for air to circulate.

°        Place the kindling and newspaper underneath the firewood.

°        Light the newspaper with a match or lighter and blow gently on the fire until it catches the kindling and firewood.

°        Wait until the fire has burned down to hot coals before cooking.

°        Place your pots or pans on the grates above the hot coals.

°        Stir and check your food regularly to prevent it from burning or sticking to the bottom of the pan.

°        When finished cooking, remove the pots or pans from the grates and extinguish the fire by pouring water over the hot coals.

°        Always make sure the fire is fully extinguished before leaving the cooking area.

°        Remember to use caution when using an outdoor kitchen that uses firewood. Keep a close eye on the fire and never leave it unattended.

Farmland:

We extend a warm invitation to all our guests to explore the 2-acre farm that envelops our property. Here, we proudly embrace organic farming practices inspired by the wisdom of Masanobu Fukuoka. As a result, you may encounter a rich tapestry of plant life, including wildflowers and what some might call "weeds." Fukuoka's philosophy promotes a natural balance of plant species, allowing our farm to flourish with minimal human intervention. We encourage you to wander the farm and appreciate the beauty of its natural overgrowth, as it plays an integral role in maintaining a diverse and harmonious ecosystem. Connecting with the land and exploring the farm's unique charm can be a truly enriching part of your stay. As with any natural environment, we advise guests to be aware of their surroundings and enjoy the farm responsibly, respecting the wildlife that calls it home.
